BrighterShop Retail Point of Sale Software Available in Australia

BrighterShop Au is the result of a two-year development collaboration between US-based developer Rob Costin of BrighterData and Mark Richards of Ambrite Pty Ltd to customise BrighterShop for Australian retail regulatory and market conditions.

“While researching available software for an Australian retail establishment I found no software that offered an attractive and intuitive user interface and complete feature set,” stated Mark Richards. “BrighterShop was ideal, but designed for the US market. The results of our customisation mean that we have an ideal product for this market niche.”

“The Australian market provided some significant development challenges, including effectively handling GST, lay-bys and multiple currencies,” explained Rob Costin. “But BrighterShop Au now has arguably the most robust feature set for the market without compromising the original elegance of interface design.”

Field-Proven in Sydney
Sydney-based specialty gift store Lost My Way has been using BrighterShop to run the business for over eighteen months. In this time the establishment has used the software for all aspects of the retail business including point-of-sale, purchasing, inventory control and management reporting. Lost My Way also uses the software to maintain the shop’s on-line store.

Pricing and Availability
A full-featured trial version can be downloaded at no charge from www.brightershop.com. Once comfortable with the trial, customers can purchase a license for $2695 inc GST. A single license can be run on unlimited computers* for the same retail location and includes one year’s software upgrades. The optional Annual Upgrade Subscription is $340 inc GST after the first year. On-site services are available for installation and training.
